Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday Dec. 7, 2020
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:00 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President David Gilmour

Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.
Minutes:
Dave: I would like to start things off by welcoming everyone to tonight’s meeting. Thanks for making the effort to come out. I would like to call the meeting to order and if we can start off with everyone typing their name for attendance
Dave: If no errors or omissions I move the minutes be adopted as circulated

Dave: Is there any questions about the minutes?
- Deanne: Just confirming that I did indeed meet all requirements to become a member.
- Doris: You needed to attend one more meeting, but tonight is your fourth meeting. So yes, as far as I can see, you have.
- Dave: You were short one meeting but in fairness we had relaxed that rule for awhile because of all the technical issues we were having a while back and never informed Doris to start enforcing it. Moving forward that will be a part of the initial package info for new members.

- Debit: Deposit - $80.00, $114.12 (refund from ABC - US $83.00), $780.00 - fundraiser (BCC - $390., Boxer Rescue - $234, BCC fundraiser - $166.), $320 - 2021 membership, $90.00 - Trophy Donation

- Doris: We have received a new member application from Peggy-Ann Simoneau-Proulx of Boischatel, Quebec. Her sponsors Richard Vachon and Annie Lamothe have been contacted. If anyone has any concerns about Peggy-Ann joining the Club, please let me know.
- I'd also like to remind anyone who hasn't yet renewed their memberships, that 2021 renewals are due by December 31, 2020.

- Patti: It had been planned to run all of November but it sold out a few days early. Wahoo! We even had tickets purchased from Australia ... wow! Many hands were involved in making this fundraiser happen. Special thanks to the following:
- Mary Curl and Kim Long for helping out with logistics.
- Shirley Bell for drawing the winning cards for us using a card shuffler.
- Michael Hockley, Debbie Allardyce, Keith Lawson, Mary Curl, Kim Long, Francine Gillanders, Doris Avery, Jenny & Michael Catton, Jeanette Short, Tammy Ranta, and Dave & Patti Gilmour for contributing towards the baskets whether it be donating items or sending money to purchase items.
- All those who purchased tickets and helped to spread the word about the fundraiser.
- Messages regarding the fundraiser were posted to the Boxer Club of Canada Yahoo Group and the private Boxer Club of Canada FaceBook page. Various members also helped by posting reminders on their own FaceBook pages. Thank you for making the effort to do this!
- The winner of Basket 1 was Debbie Allardyce. The winner of Basket 2 was Christine Burton, and the winner of Basket 3 was Bonnie Ault.
- Congratulations, and I hope you enjoy everything in your baskets.
- The total amount brought in was $780.00. The proceeds will be divided as follows: 50% to the BCC, 30% to Boxer Rescue, and 20% to the BCC fundraising budget. I have not sent out the baskets yet so do not know the cost of shipping.

- Jane: Please send your prayers to Lillian who’s been in the hospital for some time. She thanks BCC for a get well card. I talk to her every 2- 3 days

Old Business:
- Dave: As the Yahoo Group is shutting down Dec 15, 2020 (not Yahoo mail, just the groups) and no one has offered a suggestion for another similar group I (Mary) have decided to create a new email address on the server that will forward to all members. I (Mary) have tried it out on the NOBC members and it is working.
- I (Mary) will post an announcement on the Yahoo Groups when It is don giving the email address and then send an email to the new address. If you don’t get it you can let me know and I can check for the email address you want it to go to.

- Jenny: I can’t get into yahoo mail. How will I know you have sent the email, Dave?

- Deanne: Re: Public Member List on the website, it has been said that there hasn't been an update in awhile, some listed are no longer members, others that are members are not listed. I am willing to assist with this as needed
- Mary: I would like to congratulate Dave for continuing to represent his area for the CKC

- Dave: I don't know if it is smart or if I am a glutton for punishment
