Out & About
The Dogwood Boxer Club annual picnic was a big success
again this year with over 70 boxers and their families participating
on may 25th. The weather cooperated and a great time was had by all.
As always, it was great to see everyone at ABC. new
faces this year included Irene Waddell and Isabel Levers who were
spotted at ringside daily enjoying the show. As well, Dave & Patti
Gilmour celebrated their anniversary at ABC - ask Patti about her
new anniversary earrings! And Larry & Marion Hughes discovered
what friendship is all about when their motorhome broke down. Everyone
pitched in and helped them "hotel" it until mid week when their "home
away from home" was back in tiptop shape.
The ABC Regional Specialty shows will be held in Cincinnati
on September 3 to 6th. The host hotel is Radisson In Cincinnati Airport,
1-800-333-3333or (606)371-6166 and is located at the Greater Cincinnati/Northern
Kentucky International Airport. Single or double occupancy is $89US.
The historical display held in conjunction with the
BCC specialty this year was very well received. A big thank you to
Ben de Boer for poking and prodding those of us who were slow to respond
and for coordinating the display.
Lisa Leaulieu is heading back to Calgary - please update
your membership list to show her address change. She can be found
at 220 Midvalley Way SE, Calgary AB T2X 1K2. Welcome back from the
far north!!
