Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday December 5th, 2016
The meeting was called to order at approx. 7:57 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President: Dave Gilmour

Attendance (25 members): Josie O'Reilly, Bev Pope, Kimberly Smith, Melissa and Mark Mathers, Christine Burton, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Cindy Thomas, Doris Avery, Marta Nettelfield, Jenny & Michael Catton, Mary Curl, Kim Long, Tammy Ranta, Lillian Wainwright, Lee Nowak, Shirley Bell, Francine Gillanders, Karen Parton, Anne McDougall, Mike Hockley, Paul and Judy Wilcox

Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.

Minutes: 

Dave: I would like to call this meeting to order and start by people typing in their name for attendance.
Everyone should of had lots of time to go through last months minutes. Is there any errors or omissions?

Show Committee 

• Mary: Nothing much to report.  Will have a Show Committee mtg. soon.  We will vote on Judges tonight I believe
• Dave: You are right Mary we will do it when we deal with old business       

Publicity:  No report

• Dave: We have no one for publicity at this time so moving on to trophies.  

Trophy Committee: Anne McDougall  

• Anne: nothing to report, have some ideas

• Dave: Sounds great Anne. How would you like to let Mary know.
• Anne: I have.
• Dave: Ok you are ahead of me

Programme:

• Lillian: have posted items 2 list -- have recd some thank yous from members on someof the items

Membership: Doris Avery

• Doris:  No Report, just a reminder that 2017 membership renewals are due by the end of the month.  The renewal form for 2017 is posted on the site.
• Anne: does Doris want lifers to fill in membership forms.
• Doris: If nothing has changed, Life time members don't need to fill a form out.

Discipline Committee: 

• Jenny: no cases at this time.

Obedience Committee:  Marta Nettelfield 

• Marta: No report.

Awards Committee: Mary, Shirley & Sandra

• Mary: Nothing to report

Fund Raising Committee: No Report

Reading of General Correspondence:  Cindy Thomas

• Cindy: Nothing to report.

Good & Welfare:  Lillian Wainwright

• Lillian: Nothing to report

Old Business:  

• Dave: Old business please we will deal with the vote for next year's National judge.

• 2017 National -Judges Two have been nominated:  Joe Gregory & Ann Gilbert Sweeps Nomination: Keith Lawson
• As Keith is the only one nominated (for sweeps) we will not need to vote for his assignment.
• If everyone could just type in Joe or Anne for your choice. Please vote now.
• The vote is 21-3 in favour of Anne Gilbert.

• Dave: Manitoba Boxer Club had applied for a regional and as no one else has applied it will be granted to them. Cindy can you notify them.

New Business: None

Before I adjourn the meeting first i would like to thank everyone for taking the time to attend the meeting. Secondly on behalf of the executive I would like to wish everyone and their families a safe and happy holiday season and see everyone in the new year.
