COMMITTEE REPORTS
Show Committee :
Mary: We are working on the 2017 National - the 70th Anniversary of the formation of the Boxer club of Canada Inc. - all ideas to make it special are welcome.
- Lillian: would suggest that if Eve is up to it thatshe present - not judge - the BOB trophy as she is the last surviving founding member
- Dave: If Eve is up to it why not.
- Bernice: To stop this before it goes too far. I understand Eve is in long term care .
- Dave: Thats too bad to hear because it would of been nice to have her there
- Lillian: yes she is .. a little frail as you know .. but hopefully she would be able to do a presentation

Nomination Committee:
Reading of General Correspondence: Cindy Thomas

- Mary: Approval from the CKC for the Obedience & Rally Judges for the 2017 Specialty in Chilliwak
Good & Welfare: Lillian Wainright
Lillian: sympathy cards sent out...as requested ... thank you rec'd from Sheila
Old Business:
Dave: Moving onto old business.
- Lillian: would like the club to reconsider the number of regional shows ... feel if the national is in the west, the there should be only ONE regional in the east and vice versa .. it should be a prestigious event that would be an honour to win... as we have many regional clubs in Canada now that can pick up the gaps
- Discussion was held on this topic relating to the low entries and number of shows.
- Dave: There were a couple other items that arose in regards to Kilbride and BCCO and a discipline item
- Dave: The Kilbride and BCCO I can not report on yet as I don't have all the info from Tracy yet but will hopefully know by next meeting.
- Dave: As for the discipline matter there was some question as to whether you can be a BCC member if you have gone before the discipline committee of the CKC and the answer is yes in most cases. The member that everyone was talking about but not mentioned was fined by the CKC and paid her fine. That is not the same as being in the bad books with the CKC. I consulted with Dianne Draper the manager of Regulatory Affairs at the CKC and the member i question was fined and paid their fine and is in the good books with the CKC. The only time you are in their bad books is when you are found guilty of something and have your privileges revoked either temporarily or permanent
- Vanquish: Is the discipline related to killbride and bcco or separate issues?
- Dave: No it stems from an unrelated incident
- Shirley: I don't understand why there is such an abundance of poor sportsmanship being displayed these days
New Business:
- Lillian: I have had a number of inquiries as to who may be cropping in Ontario... if anyonehas a vet who is cropping please send me the name & info.... so I can compile a list .. and FYI Dr Staples has retired
- Dave: If I hear anything I will pass it on.
- Anne: trophies that were given out at the Regional in Barrie were given out as mementos of members who have passed away and left boxer items to the club, I had enough Boxer figurines to give every place winner one, some were from Verena's and thought it a nice remembrance of her. One member complained that they were terrible and the club should be ashamed to give these. I am sorry he feels this way and if he wants the job he is welcome to it. Only one complaint. His bitch won 2 trophies.
- Lillian: if he don't like them the send them back --we can recycle them to someone who would appreciate the history involved in the trophy
- Vanquish: I just want to say Anne did a great job with the weekend's trophies and whenever we get anything it is appreciated. Thanks Anne!
- Dave: The only other items I wanted to mention that Pets Plus Us is running a contest right now
Dave: Unless anybody else has anything I would like to move the meeting adjourned
- Lillian: 2nd
- Meeting adjourned 9:24 p.m.
Next regular meeting October 3, 2016, 8 pm Ontario time
