Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday April 3rd, 2017
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:02 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President Dave Gilmour

Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.
Minutes:
Dave: Everyone should of had a chance to read last month's minutes. Are there any errors or omissions?

Treasurer’s Report – Kim Long - not in attendance
Mary (for Kim): February 28/17 – Balance $14,219.06
Credit - $19.00 (S/C), $2.00 (Paper Statement), Cyril Varney Public School (2017 National Trophies) – $571.22
Debit - $160.00 (Membership renewal), $45.00 (New Member Application)
Balance - $13,831.84
- Christine: MIke and I have not received the club files for the audit from last year yet.
- Dave: I will talk with Kim about putting those together for you guys.
- Christine: No problem. We will almost be due for this year and last year hasn't been done

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Show Committee Anne, Mary, Shirley, Patti, Dave
- Mary: Getting together some nice gifts for the National entrants. Don't forget to tell everyone you know to enter. 3 Specialties and 3 all breed shows in one weekend!
Publicity: No report
Trophy Committee: Anne McDougall - Not in attendance
- Mary: BCC trophies are all done thanks for the help Shawn, couldn't have done it without you., just a few things left to get. I have some item donations that I will give to Mary to use as the fund raisers see fit.
- Dave: Thx Mary I saw the trophies and they are quite nice.
Programme:
- Lillian: Program --a number of items posted to the list ... some good health items
Membership: Doris Avery
- Doris: We have received a new membership application for Christa Warren of Ft. McMurray, Alta. Her sponsors Cindy Thomas and Josie O'Reilly have been contacted. If anyone has any concerns please let me know.
- Also Terri-Lee Foley-Cossar has completed her probationary membership and is now an Ordinary member of the BCC.

- Mary: The time for sending your requests for title holder plaques and Anneal awards has come and gone. I have made a list from the CKC records but they do not show owners names. If you want to know if yours is on he list contact me asap please as I will be sending the lists to have the plaques made. I think I have all the owners name but just in case email me

- Cindy: Received an application for the Renaissance Dog Association to hold a BCC Regional Specialty, Sweepstakes, Obedience & Rally Trials from Monika Pinsker on April 13, 2018, in Chilliwack, BC.

- Mellissa: I have enrolled in a course through UC Davis called Better Bred. Through this Boxers have been added to their program. I will send some info to the fb page and keep all updated on the progress. We will eventually be needing samples. Poodles have had nuch success so should be interesting. Dobes as well..
- Mary: What are they studying?
- Mellissa: It is basically about genetic diversity.
- Dave: Sounds good Melissa we look forward to hearing more about it
