Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday December 4th, 2017

The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:03 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – Vice President Shirley Bell
Attendance: (13 Members)  Tammy Ranta, Lillian Wainwright, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Mary Curl, Doris Avery, Kim Long, Marta Nettelfield, Cindy Thomas, Jenny & Michael Catton, Christine Burton

Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.

Minutes: 

Dave: I would like to call this meeting to order. If we could start with everyone posting their name for attendance.
Everyone should of had a chance to see last month's minutes. ARe there any errors or omissions

Dave: I would like to move the minutes be addopted as written.

• Doris:  Just wanted to remind everyone that the 2018 membership renewals are due by the end of December.
• I posted a reminder to FB before the meeting also.
• Dave: Can you put up one up on the Yahoo list as well
• Doris: Yes I'll do that.  I also sent emails.

Special Service Award Committee: Debbi Allardyce (Not in attendance)

Fund Raising Committee:  Patti

• Patti: there is no fundraising report. The 2018 committee consists of Patti, Mary and Karen. If anyone knows of anyone else who would like to volunteer please let Patti know.

Reading of General Correspondence:  Cindy Thomas

• Cindy: Nothing to report.

Good & Welfare:  Lillian Wainwright

• Lillian: Eve celebrated a quiet 97th birthday in the nursing home
• Rod Norris spent more time in Hospital --including a stay in ICU
• Dave: That is good news. He has been having a rough go as of late

Old Business:  

• Dave: I would like to just update everyone on the ROE. As of now there is no ROE committee as they have all resigned. There will be a call out to recruit new members after the Jan board meeting with the possibility of having a new committee formed after the March board meeting. We will probably be looking at dealing with this in early summer. Does anyone have any questions?
• Lillian: Why resigned
• Dave: Confidential
• Lillian: going over each breed to fit the ROE .. tis time consuming... and no 2 people seem to agree to whatis being done
• Dave: It is not an easy task but AgCanada is forcing us to do it
• Mary: Does Ag Canada have a deadline we have to stay within?
• Dave: No . They have not even approved the ones we voted on during the referendum in 2016.
• Cindy: No other applications received for holding a Regional in Manitoba so that will mean the application the Manitoba Boxer Club submitted is now approved.
• Dave: Please let them know. Thx Cindy

New Business:

• Dave: Congrats to Doris and Dennis on their new champion
• Doris: Vader is now Ch. Bimberg's Dark Devotion!

Dave: If there is no other new business I would like to move this meeting be adjourned. Patti and I would like to wish each of you and your fanmilies a Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season.
