Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday June 5th, 2017
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:08 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President Dave Gilmour
Attendance: ( 15 Members) Jenny and Michael Catton, Cind Thomas, Marta Nettelfield, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Mike Hockley, Bev Pope, Doris Avery, Mary Curl, Kirstan Sonnenberg, Karen Parton, Lillian Wainwright, Leah Quiring, Richard Tarrington
Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.
Minutes:
Dave: Everyone should of had a chance to read last month's minutes. Are there any errors or omissions?

Business Arising From the Minutes – None
Treasurer’s Report – Kim Long - not in attendance
- Mary: Kim hasn't sent it to me yet - she can't get in tonight. She has sent the annual report though

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Show Committee Anne, Mary, Shirley, Patti, Dave
- Mary: Working on several things for the National. Armband Draw - we will draw two numbers for a $100 prepaid Visa each. 50/50 draw - all the proceeds will go to Boxer Rescue Canada. BBQ on Saturday evening for boxer folks - Join us and you will be entered in a draw for some exiting prizes.
- Also gift bags for those entered

- Lillian: pass my regrets - will not be able to attend as have surgery scheduled for 31 July -- good luck on theshow

Trophy Committee: Anne McDougall - Not in attendance
- Dave: Mary do you have anything for trophy as Anne is not here.
- Mary: Just that the trophies are gorgeous :).

Membership: Doris Avery
- Doris: We have received a new member application for Karen Broadway and Yves Leroux from Pierrefonds, Quebec. Their sponsors, Anne McDougall and Deborah Allardyce have been contacted. If anyone has any concerns, please let me know.
Discipline Committee:
- Jenny: One pending matter. executive has to make a decision
- Dave: We are working on it as we speak. Thx Jenny.
Obedience Committee: Marta Nettelfield
Awards Committee: Mary, Shirley & Sandra
- Mary: Nothing new since last meeting
Special Service Award Committee: Debbi Allardyce (Not in attendance)
Fund Raising Committee: Patti

- Lillian: no report .. reminder please let me know of incidents that require cards, etc. to be sent....,
Old Business:
- Dave: Does anyone have any old business they wish to discuss.
- Leah: I would just like to mention that the lost camera from Ancaster has found its owner.
New Business:
- Marta: I'd like to put forth the suggesting and have it acted on sooner rather than later, for the BCC to offer and annual Versatility Award for eligible dogs.
- Mary: I like it. Marta can we discuss this over the phone at some point?
- Marta: Yes
- Mary: OK email me and let me know when is good
- Dave: I think it is a great idea
- Kirstan: me too!
Dave:
- If no one has anything else I would like to move the meeting adjourned. There will be a ten minute break to exercise dogs, humans etc. Then we will proceed with the AGM.
