Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday November 6th, 2017

The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:00 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – Vice President Shirley Bell
Attendance: (17 Members)  Kim Long, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Mary Curl, Francine Gillanders, Kimberly Smith, Doris Avery, Tammy Ranta, Anne Mcdougall, Karen Parton, Lee and Mary Jane Nowak, Cindy Thomas, Francine Gillanders, Michael Hockley, Jenny & Micheal Caton
Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.

Minutes: 

Dave: I would like to call the meeting to order. If you could type in your name for row call please. Everyone should of gone through the minutes by now. Are there any errors or omissions?

Dave: I would like to move the minutes be accepted as written.

Treasurer’s Report – Kim Long

• Credit – S/C - $19.00, Paper Statement - $2.00, Adjustment to National Judges Expenses (US funds) $94.88

COMMITTEE REPORTS

• Mary: Results and pictures of the 2017 National are on the website.  If your picture is not there you may send it to me to put up
• Thanks to the fundraising committee we were able to have a specialo dinner and extra prizes for the National without costing the Club extra funds

Publicity:  No report

Trophy Committee:  No report

Programme:

• Mary: Lillian sent me her report
• number of items posted to the list -- 2 excellent health items amongst them

                                                      
Membership: Doris Avery

• Doris:  Welcome to Keith Lawson and Jeannie Miskey, who will be starting their Probationary Memberships this month. 
• Also a reminder that 2018 Membership Renewals are due by the end of December.
• Dave: Thx Doris.
• Jenny: can we e-transfer the membership $
• Doris: Yes but please let me know what the password is as I am not good at guessing:)
• Jenny: how much again for family?
• Kim: $40
• Tammy: With membership do we still have to fill out the renewal form if we e-transfer?
• Kim: No unless something has changed
• Doris: I sent the link to the renewal form in the emails I sent out.

Reading of General Correspondence:  Cindy Thomas

• Cindy: Yes. Received an application to hold a Regional Specialty (Specialty only) from the Manitoba Boxer Club to be held on August 18, 2018, in conjunction with the Manitoba Canine Association All Breed Shows.

Good & Welfare:  Lillian Wainwright

• Lillian (via Mary): G&W - nothing but -- would like to point out that Eve Whitmore - the only surviving founding member will be 97 on 17 Nov. she is losing her eye sight, but Joey N. reads to her. members may want to send her a birthday card.... her address is on the membership list.....

• Dave: We have been contacted by the CKC to start the Roe process. We are currently waiting to hear back from them as to what the next step is.
• We will probably be having a teleconference with them but it is in there ball court to get back to us.
• Anne: what is ROE process
• Dave: ROE is short for Rules Of Eligibility. It is something that all future breeding stock will have to conform to.
• We will get back to the membership once we hear back from the CKC
