Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday October 2nd, 2017
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:06 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – Vice President Shirley Bell
Attendance: (11 Members) Dave Gilmour, Mary Curl, Cindy Thomas, Kimberly Smith, Michael Hockley, Francine Gillanders, Patti Gilmour, Marta Nettelfield, Doris Avery, Shirley Bell, Lillian Wainwright (for a short time)
Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.
Minutes:
Dave: I will go with the assumption that everyone had read the last minutes. Are there any errors or omissions?
Dave: I would like to move the minutes be accepted as written.

Treasurer’s Report – Kim Long - not in attendance
- Mary: Kim is out of the country but sent me the report
- August 31 2017: Balance - $8440.22 - September 2017
- Credit : Service Charge, $19.00, Paper Statement, $2.00, Shawn Mealey, $19.53 (Postage to mail 2 plaques), Mijen Awards, $1113.95 (Annual Awards - 64 awards and title holder plaques), PayPal, $203.49 US, (Chat room renewal), Boxer Rescue Canada, $227.00 (funds raised from raffles at National)
- Debit - New membership, $90.00, Barrie Kennel Club Rebate, $378.00, National Raffle and Table, $337.25, Membership renewal, $55.00 US
- September 30,2017: Balance - $7715.50
- There will be a balance adjustment once US funds are calculated.

Show Committee Anne, Mary, Shirley, Patti, Dave
- Mary: Results of the 2017 National are on the website. I will try to get pictures up soon.
Publicity: No report
Trophy Committee:
- Dave: As Shawn is not here we will move onto Program committee
Programme:
- Lillian: (connection failed)
- Mary: Lillian sent me her report
- A number of items posted to the list - a couple of good health items
Membership: Doris Avery
- Doris: We have received two new member applications,
- The first from Keith Lawson of London, Ontario. His sponsors Shirley Bell and Mary Jane Nowak have been contacted.
- The second is Jeannie Miskey of Bentley, Alberta. Her sponsors, Sheila McAvoy and Marta Nettlefield have both been contacted also.
- If anyone has any concerns, please let me know.

- Doris: I should have mentioned last meeting we received a thank you card from Bobbi Compton for our donation to the ABCF
