Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday December 3rd, 2018
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:03 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. –  President Dave Gilmour

Attendance: (13 Members) Dave & Patti Gilmour, Cindy Thomas, Tammy Ranta, Doris Avery, Keith Lawson, Michael Hockley, Kimberly Smith, Mary Curl, Jenny & Michael Catton, Francine Gillanders, Kim Long,  
Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.
Minutes: 
Dave: I would like to call this meeting to order and start things off with everyone typing in their name for attendance

                Dave: Everyone should of had a chance to read last month's minutes. Was there any errors or omissions?

Dave: I would like the minutes be adopted as written

Dave: Is there any business arising from the minutes? If not can we have the treasurers report please

Treasurer’s Report – Kim

• October 31, 2018 Balance - $8525.90
• Credit – Service Charge – 19.00, Paper Statement – 2.00
• Debit – Nil
• November 30,2018 Balance - $ 8504.90

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Show Committee  Mary, Shirley

• Mary: No report except that if anyone has ideas for the National next year in June please contact the show committee

Publicity:  No Report

Trophy Committee: Shawn Mealey - not in attendance

Programme:  Lillian Wainwright - not in attendance

Membership Committee: Doris

• Doris: No report just a reminder that 2019 Member Renewals are due by December 31, 2018.

Discipline Committee:  Shirley Bell - not in attendance

Obedience Committee:  Marta Nettelfield  - not in attendance

• Marta (after meeting): No Report

Awards Committee: Mary, Shirley & Marta

• Mary: You can send your title and annual award applications in now. CKC title listings are up to Aug  2018.

Special Service Award Committee: Debbie Allardyce - not in attendance

Fund Raising Committee:  Patti  -

• Patti: nothing for fundraising other than if anybody has any ideas give a call

Reading of General Correspondence:  Cindy Thomas

• Cindy: I'm at work so have had a chance to double check my emails. Will take a look and if there is anything I will have Mary add it to the minutes.
• After meeting additions: Normand Houde has requested a booster with the Chomedey Kennel Club in Quebec, Sept. 17th, 2019. This has been approved by the executive.

               
Old Business:

• Dave: Is there any old business?
• Dave: We mentioned it last meeting if anybody has any ideas as to where to make some donations to this year to let the executive know
• Cindy: My suggestions are to Boxer Rescue Canada and the ABC Health Foundation.
• Mary: How much do we want to donate to each?
• Dave: Had not thought that far ahead
• Mary: We should think so that it can be done this year
• Dave: Any suggestions from the members?
• Keith: $100
• Mary: I think we could be a bit more generous maybe?
• Dave: I was thinking about $250.00 each. Anybody have a problem with that amount?
• Mike: If we go this route, my suggestion would  be to give more (perhaps twice as much) to boxer Rescue, since they would have fewer donors than ABC Fouundation.
• Mary: Or maybe 300 to Boxer Rescue Canada & 200 to ABCF?
• Dave: That would work
• Mike: That sounds REALLY good.
• Dave: Great we will make it happen
• Kim: Does anyone have address' for both of these
• Dave: We will get those Kim
• Mary: Marta has the address for Boxer Rescue - i will contact her
• Dave: I can get the ABCF one

Dave: As Lillian is not here the only thing left is there any new business?

New Business:

Dave: If there is no new business I would like to thank everyone for taking time to attend the meeting.
