Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday March 2nd, 2020
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:05 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President David Gilmour
Attendance – 21 members: Cindy Thomas, Karen Parton, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Mary Curl, Normand Houde, Deanne Sinnott, Doris Avery, Christine Burton, Bonnie Ault, Tammy Ranta, Jane Holicka, Marta Nettelfield, Michael Hockley, Melissa & Mark Mathers, Shirley Bell, Mary Jane Nowak, Keith Lawson, Jenny & Micheal Catton.
Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.
Minutes:
Dave: Good evening everyone. I would like to call this meeting to order and start with everyone typing their name for attendance records.
Everyone should of had lots of time to read the last months minutes. Is their any errors or omissions
Treasurer’s Report – Kim Long:
Mary: Kim cannot attend tonight but sent me her report:
- January 31, 2020 – Balance - $ 7074.39
- Debit – Service Charge - $19.00, Paper Statement - $2.00, Host Smart - $110.00, ABC (Ad) - $114.12
- Credit – Membership - $155.00
- February 29, 2020 - Balance - $ 6984.27

Awards Committee: Mary, Shirley, Marta, Cindy
- Mary: If you have sent an application for an award or plaques and not received a reply please resend! Last year’s email address no longer works.
It is the responsibility of the BCC member to apply for any awards that they are eligible for and to make sure their request has been received by the Awards Statisticians.
You may download the forms and fill in and send or send e-mail to the appropriate address with all the information that the form contains for your dog.

- Cindy: For those awaiting certificates as the CKC is so behind in results, do we just send those once we receive them?
- Mary: I would think that would be OK. We should be able to trust our members. Or they could take a snip of results on Canuck dogs
- Cindy: What if the results are not up on Canuck Dogs?
- Mary: WE need to trust. If it turns out that they didn't get that title we won't trust that person next time.

Reading of General Correspondence:
- Mellissa: We received notice from the CWDF that the CKC Office has made a ruling on the request for the CWDF to represent Canada as the IGP Team at the 2020 World Championship. Canada’s team should represent all breeds as confirmed with FCI and we support your efforts in this team selection. The CKC Office has encouraged the GSDCC to pursue eligibility to be part of the all breed team and work together with the CWDF. The hosting club for this year's championship - Club IPO Nord, near Montreal
Old Business:
- Mary: Regarding: “NOBC applied to hold the 2021 BCC National at the Erie Shores show"
- I haven't heard of any other applications
- Which means that the application is granted?
- Dave: Correct

- Lillian: (sent after meeting) nothing -- seems n one is ill...
New Business:
- Deanne: I've considered applying for a regional in conjunction with the Newfoundland All breed Kennel club in July of 2021...is there a deadline for this?
- Mary: Checking: No deadline for a Regional
- Deanne: Also, what date is the National at Erie Shores?
- Dave: Show is June 5-8
