Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday Nov. 2, 2020
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:00 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President David Gilmour

Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.
Minutes:
Dave: I would like to start by thanking everyone for taking time out of their schedules thank everyone for coming out tonight. I would like to call this meeting to order and start off with everyone typing their name for roll call

- Doris: Deanne Sinnott has completed her Probationary Membership and is now an Ordinary Member of the BCC. Welcome Deanne!
- Also, I would like to remind everyone that 2021 Membership Renewals are due by December 31, 2020.
- Kim: Did Deanne meet the requirements of her probation?
- Dave: To my knowledge she did
- Leah: is Deanne the only successful new member who has met probationary requirements in the past year?
- Dave: Doris would know better than me
- Doris: I'm just going through the forms. I see one other so far.
- Kim: Has she attended 3 meetings while on probation?
- Dave: I would have to check and get back to you Kim
- Mary: I count four other new members that finished probation since Jan 2020

Special Service Award Committee: Debbie Allardyce - not in attendance
Fund Raising Committee: Patti
- Patti: The fundraiser was posted to the BCC web site today, thanks to Mary! My apologies for taking so long to get this to Mary.
We had enough items for three good-sized baskets. Each basket has a deck of cards, and each card is $5.00. Hopefully we can sell out each deck of cards. The fundraiser ends on Nov 30. The winners will be informed once the draws are made and the BCC will pay for the shipping.
Please spread the word to others.
Thank you to the following club members for their generosity: Francine Gillanders, Mike and Jenny Catton, Michael Hockley, Doris Avery, Mary Curl, Kim Long, Jeannette Short, Keith Lawson, Debbie Allardyce, Tammy Horner-Ranta, and Dave and Patti Gilmour. Proceeds of the fundraiser will be dispersed as follows: 30% to boxer Rescue, 20% to the fundraising committee, and 50% to the BCC.

New Business:
- Mary: Our Yahoo Group will no longer be available as of mid Dec.
- From the Yahoo people
- We are shutting down the Yahoo Groups website on December 15, 2020 and members will no longer be able to send or receive emails from Yahoo Groups. Yahoo Mail features will continue to function as expected and there will be no changes to your Yahoo Mail account, emails, photos or other inbox content. There will also be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services. You can find more information about the Yahoo Groups shutdown and alternative service options on this help page

- Mary: We will need to find another service. Preferably one that will allow a migration of the members so we don't have to add one at a time
- Leah: what about Microsoft teams?
- Mary: Get the info and let the exec know so that we can decide if it will work for us. It looks like it is a chat not an email group?
- Leah: Once the group members are all in, that is to say, a team, the team members can chat, call, meet etc...
- Mary: Yes, Leah but we need an email group thing.
