Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday Oct 5, 2020
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:02 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President David Gilmour
Attendance – 21 members: Doris Avery, Francine Gillanders, Jane Holicka, Jenny & Micheal Catton, Keith Lawson, Leah Quiring, Lillian Wainwright, Mary Curl, Mary Jane And Lee Nowak, Michael Hockley, Normand Houde, Tammy Ranta, Bonnie Ault, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Christine Burton, Karen Parton, Marta Nettelfield, Cindy Thomas
Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.
Minutes:
Dave: Good evening everyone and thanks for taking the time to attend the meeting tonight would like to call the meeting to order and have everyone type in their name for roll call.
Everyone should of had a chance to review last months minutes. Is there any errors or omissions?? None reported

- Leah: what is the BCC doing with the probationary members that have not completed the club membership requirements?
- Dave: We can address that under new business
Discipline Committee: Shirley Bell
Obedience Committee: Marta Nettelfield
- Marta: No Report

Awards Committee: Mary, Shirley, Marta, Cindy
- Mary: Everyone should have their awards by now. If not please let me know
Mary: Keith tells me that he has not received his awards, I will contact Mike.
Special Service Award Committee: Debbie Allardyce - not in attendance
Fund Raising Committee: Patti
- Patti: The fundraiser will be a basket raffle. Hoping to have enough items for at least 2 nice sized baskets. All details will be posted on the club web site once ready, hopefully mid-Oct.
- This week is the last call for donated items. If you plan to send something, please contact me privately for the address.
- Thank you to the following members for items received: Michael Hockley, Jenny & Michael Catton, Francine Gillanders, Doris Avery, Mary Curl, Tammy Ranta, and the Gilmour’s.
- Keith: For the fundraiser, I don t have anything to offer for a basket but I'd be happy to donate cash so you can get something for a basket. Can I do that?

- Jane: May I ask members to advise me about any changes in their or other member well-being, please. Thank you.

- From today’s discussion Kim will receive a card.
- Lillian: met with Jane & gave her a briefing as she is taking over G&W + program ... I have enjoyed doing both for the last 30 yrs.but it is time that the younger generation dip their toes in the water, as my health is iffy I was glad to hand the positions over to Jane.
- Jenny: thank you Lillian for all of your hard work. Welcome aboard Jane. Stay safe and healthy Lillian
- Dave: The club thanks you for all your hard work over the years and wish you the best in the future
New Business:
- Dave: We will address new business now. As per Leah's question we are looking into this and will have something for next months meeting.
- Leah: I would think that if the membership requirements are not met, then the application does not gain membership status.
- Marta: What are the membership requirements. I must have missed something?
- Doris: In the past, we had problems with people being able to get into the meeting. I think this meeting site is better.
- Mary: Doris is correct and during that time we forgave those who could not attend the 4 meetings that a probationary member should attend
- Marta: Question answered.
- Lillian: I think that if one is interested in being a member they should show enough interest and attend the meeting
- Dave: I agree Lillian
- Leah: while a question on membership has been answered, I trust there is room for further discussion at the next meeting?
- Dave: You bet
- Lillian: I am the most tech challenged and had trouble with the old site
- Mike: Like Lillian, I am computer challenged. Thank goodness Mary sends a link to this site before each meeting. Keep up the good work, Mary.
- Lillian: I agree
- Lillian: I have a large boxer collection . items dating back to the 60's -- from Gertrude Steinhouse's mugs to the present to be dispersed
Dave: Thanks for all of your input tonight. Is there any other new business? None.
