Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday Sept 14, 2020
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:00 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President David Gilmour

Attendance – 18 members: Kim Long, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Mary Curl, Doris Avery, Shirley Bell, Michael Hockley, Francine Gillanders, Jenny and Michael Catton, Mary Jane Nowak, Karen Parton, Keith Lawson, Marta Nettelfield, Lee Nowak, Jane Holicka, Shawn Mealey, Leah Quiring

Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn.

Minutes: 
Dave: Thanks everyone for taking time out of your schedules to attend. I would like to call the meeting to order and get everyone to type in their name for attendance sake.
I will assume that everyone has had a chance to read the last minutes. Was there any errors or omissions? None reported

Show Committee: Mary, Shirley, Patti, Dave

• Dave: I have been in conversation with Monika and she has told me there will be no shows for her in 2021 because of the covid restrictions in BC so we could have the national out east if the club so desires.

Programme:

• Dave: There will be no program or good & welfare as Lillian has decided to step down at this time. So if anyone would like to step into her roles please let the executive know.

Further to this

• Dave: I would like to let the club know that Jane has volunteered to take over Lillian's duties. Thx very much Jane.
• Dave: At this time, I would like to thank Lillian for all her hard work over the years and to wish her the best in the future

Trophy Committee: Shawn

Membership Committee: Doris

• Doris: Terri Pickett has completed her Probationary Membership and is now an Ordinary Member of the BCC. Welcome!

Obedience Committee:  Marta Nettelfield

• Marta: No Report

Awards Committee: Mary, Shirley, Marta, Cindy

• Mary: Because of the lack of shows this year, we probably should not give plaques next year for any Annual Awards earned in 2020. We could give certificates to any winners for Annual Awards in 2020 but still give small plaques for titles earned. As we don't have a specialty this year there is less income.  Also, any donations for Annual Awards could be carried over to next year.
• Marta: Some of us have Huge accomplishment for 2020
• Dave: Discussion open regarding annual awards
• Mary: Special accomplishments like those should be acknowledged in the normal way.  Marta you can contact me with details?  I assume you are speaking of performance or Obed?

• Keith: Have plaques for 2019 accomplishments been sent yet?
• Jenny: we finally received the last components and they will all be in the mail before the end of the week

• Michael:  With so few shows this year, would there be that many plaques required?  Some may have nearly finished in 2019, and only needed a point or two to finish.  That would be a shame
• Mary: Michael we would send plaques for any that finish it is just the Annual Awards that I feel should be held down to certificates as there just are not enough shows to make it real

Fund Raising Committee:  Patti

• Patti: Since the BCC has not had a fundraiser in a while, perhaps it is time to do one? Just a thought but maybe could do raffle baskets and folks could buy from a deck of cards. We’ve done this in the past. If there is interest, I could proceed with it. Dave and I have a few items we would like to donate. Would be good to get this posted and done before the xmas shipping rush. If anyone has anything they would like to donate, please send me an email at p.gilmour@sasktel.net
• Is there any interest in this?
• Jenny: we will do at a couple of face masks- custom with your dog picture. These are 3 ply masked with elastic loops.

• Francine: where do we send our donated items to
• Dave: Hold off on that we will iron out details and let everyone know. Watch for details on the facebook club page
• Michael: I will donate the American Boxer Charitable Foundation "PUDDLE OF PUPPIES' 1997, 1998, 1999 if i can get to to the right place.
