Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday November 4, 2013

The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:01 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President: Dave Gilmour

Treasurer’s Report - Paul Dulong (Mary reported for Paul)

• 2014 Membership Renewal Program - We have 120 non Life members made up of 35 family and 50 singles. Todate, we have received 7 family & 11 single membership payment. Only 28 Family & 39 Singles to go!
• Dave: All memberships need to renewed by Dec 31

• Dave: As Paul isn't here I move the report be accepted. Seconded by Kebin Serjeant.  Accepted

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Show Committee

• Mary: As no one has stepped up to be Show Chair we are using the Show Chair of the Erie Shores Club for the paperwork and the Show Committee will forge ahead.
• The Ontario 2014 Regional is set for June 8 at Erie Shores , As Irene Waddell was voted to do sweeps at the National this year and could not attend due to an injury we have asked her to judge sweeps at this Regional.  She has accepted.
• Discussion on judge for the regular show.
• Dave: Judges on teh Erie Shores panel a\re: Linda Riedel Faye Strauss Patricia Nemirovsky  Norman L Patton  Ian Rasmussen  Harry O'Donoghue  Anna Hewson
• Discussion held regarding the judges. Bios were sent to the Yahoo list last week.
• Dave: We will have a vote once we have done the rest of the reports to give everyone to take a quick look at the bios if they need to.

Publicity: Rick Tarrington

• Rick: Nothing to report as I never hear back from committee

Trophy Committee: Anne

• Anne: Nothing to report.

Awards Committee: Kristi Wagg – Not in attendance to report
Programme:  Lillian – Not in attendance
Membership: Patti Gilmour

• An application from Ernest Friesen has been received. His sponsors, ChristineTricker and Bev Pope, have been contacted.

Discipline Committee:  Frank Rouse (Not in attendance) - No Report

Obedience Committee:  Marta Nettelfield  (Not in attendance)

• Sandra Beck: The April 2014 Rally trial is a go ahead in Chilliwack!
• Dave: Excellent looking  forward to hear how it goes

Fund Raising Committee:  

• Mary: Weathervane fund raiser update – Sold 17 cards so far.  Go to the BCC site and click on the link for information about the raffle and pick your card!!!
• Dave: Guys this is a good fundraiser and the prize would look good on any of our garages or houses.

Special Service Award: Debbie (not in attendance)

Dave: As Debbie is not here that brings the reports to an end. We will vote for judges next. The format we will use is when I call for a vote you will just give the name of the judge you would like

• Dave: Well folks It looks like Faye Strauss is our judge for the Regional
• Mary: I will contact Erie Shores and if there is a problem then we go with Patricia Nemeroski as a back up? We are kind of late choosing.  don't think there will be a problem but best prepared

Reading of General Correspondence:  Cindy Thomas

• Mary (for Cindy who had to leave): Application received from Gord Graffman for the Boxer Club of Central Ontario to hold a BCC Regional on August 9, 2014, in conjunction with the Killbride & District Kennel Club Shows in Milton, Ontario.
• Application received from Bev Pope for the Manitoba Boxer Club to hold a BCC Regional on August 16, 2014, in conjunction with the Manitoba Canine Association Shows in East St. Paul, Manitoba.
• Letter of approval to hold a Specialty Rally Obedience Trial in April 2014, letter of approval for the Specialty Rally Obedience judging panel and letter for confirmation of judge assignment.  Letter of approval to hold a Specialty Obedience Trial on April 18, 2014, and letter for confirmation of judge assignment was received late August (not sure if I had this read at a previous meeting).

Old Business:  

• Mary: From October meeting: Barry Green sent in an application to hold a BCC Regional at the Hochelaga Kennel Club show on May 18, 2014. If no one in the same electoral area asked so it is approved,

New Business:

• Kevin: in the notices sent out by the treasurer, it states late fees are $15, in the by laws, it states $10?
• Dave: I will have to check into that Kevin
