Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday November 7th, 2011
The meeting was called to order at approx. 8:05 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President: Dave Gilmour

Treasurer’s Report - Paul Dulong
- Treasurer's Report at Oct 31'11 - Receipts: Membership 590.00, Trophy Donations 115.00, Acct Rec 16.00 ........ Disbursements: Bank Fees 3.72 .......Special Note: Your Membership Renewal for 2012 is now due.
- Special Note: Membership Renewal for 2012 are slowly coming in with only 17 of 125 households having paid. Your Renewal fee is now due. Please refer to the website for your renewal form. Membership fees and payment options remain the same as 2011.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Show Committee
- From Mary C: Preparations are being made for the 2012 ON Regional in conjunction with the Oakville kennel Club show.
- Judges to vote on for the Specialty are those on the panel as there were no suggestions for other judges sent. Vote for Rafael Desantigo, Roberto Velo-Picez or Cheryl Meyers-Egerton
- A couple of people asked if there were bios for the judges. Mary responded that bios were sent out with the October minutes.
- Judges in order of votes received: Roberto Velo-Picez, Cheryl Myers-Edgerton, Rafael Desantigo,
Roberto Velo-Picez will be the judge for the Specialty
- Judges nominated for the Sweepstakes are: Josie O’Rielly, Linda Norris, Scott McNair
- Judges in order of votes received: Scott McNair, Linda Norris, Josie O’Reilly
- Mary: I will contact Scott to see if he is willing to judge.

Trophy Committee: Anne
- Mary: I would like to make a motion that we make Verena Jeager’s Annual Obedience award come from the club - The Royal Trophy - Donated by Verena Jaeger For the Boxer Champion who obtains the highest obedience title with the highest scores. - and Rename it the Jaegerhouse Trophy

- Discussion:
- Jenny - r we going to be in the position that we will be paying for more & more trophies (not saying we should not) but I know finances play an important part of our viability
- Mary: Not necessarily - this is an annual award that was donated by a very special person who did a great deal for this club and I feel that this is something we should do
- Debbie: I agree 100% - Verena gave her blood sweat and tears to this club - she deserves to have this tradition carried on in her honour.
- Jenny: I agree 1000%- pls don't get me wrong - I will vote in favour of this
- Anne: it would not cost a lot, the cost of engraving a plate and a keeper trophy, I don't think it the club that much, small for what she did for the club over the years

Membership: Patti Gilmour
- An application for membership has been received from Tara Burt and Ed Wadman (Rusagonis, New Brunswick). Both sponsors – Kristi Wagg and Josie O’Reilly -- have been contacted. Please let me know if there are any concerns.
- Jane and George Holicka (Georgetown, Ontario) are now ordinary members of the Boxer Club of Canada. Their probationary status ended in October. Please join me in welcoming Jane and George to the club!
- If you haven’t already renewed your membership, please don’t forget that membership fees are due by the end of the year.

- Thank you for the donation made to Pet Trust in my mother's name. I am sure that the U.ofG. will use it wisely.
- From Dara Murphy:
- Lillian I would like to say thank you to you and all the members of the BCC. The very kind donatio to U of G Pet Trust Fund was very thoughtful. Dad loved his Boxers and is with them now. Tango is doing very well he is a great comfort. His life has changed and he is being very strong and good about it. Dara

New Business:
- Mike: I would like to make a motion that the BCC add an "In Memoriam" page to the website where we can remember the members who have left us. We have lost a lot of members over the past couple of years

- Mary: One condition to the motion. Send me the info you want on it and I will do it. I will not be responsible for gathering info.
- Patti: It should be all inclusive...not just recent members..
- Mary: Who is going to spearhead this?
- Mike: I will volunteer to do it but I will need input from the membership

- Debbie: Mike please let me know what you want me to do to help with this. Just ask please
