  • Anne: no it was kind of hidden, if we had gone there again I would have made signs
  • Mary noted that we would have done better if we had had catalogues to sell
  • Marta noted: If one looks at the financial statement comparables, it's quite easy to identify the reason for the loss at this year’s Speciality.

  •  I have been trying to get an ad together for the BCC specialty winners.  I am having a problem with Paul Oslach. He will not send the photos to the Boxer Ring until they have been purchased and now he wants $60 to send them  He won't answer my emails nor my phone calls.  Other photographers do this for nothing I would like to propose we try to find another photographer.
  • Anne – I have already booked him for next year.
  • Linda: could we then talk to him about this issue as it looks like I will be stuck with the sixty dollars
  • a number were bought but not all.  I have done this before and had great co operation from the photographers. and when they send them they are in the correct format etc
  • Sandra: when we have organized an ad, it was the winners responsibility ti get the photo to the publisher, perhaps your winners could send their own.

  • Deb asked: has anyone found out what happened to the trophy sent to Rhianon Racette for Mercedes obedience award?

  • Norah asked: What about a semen collection clinic also, any interest in that? I have contact ed 2 vet one is mobile they will get back too me with costs
  • Mary: Let me know & I can put it in the minutes if you get the info in time
  • Norah also wanted to know if the BCC should have a presence on KIJIJI as 8 pages of Boxers for sale on there. The BCC should have a presence directing puppy buyers too the BCC site for reputable breeders.  Unsuspecting buyers are being duped on that sight and we need too let them know the BCC exists
  • Mary suggested we look into it and get back to the Club
  • Marta suggested listing Rescue also

Old Business:
From Jenny:
1. I have had a number of members request that we put up all documents that are to be filled in by the members in a Microsoft Word, and pdf forms. However we must also put a link, & instructions to the site, on how the members can download from www.openoffice.org to download the free open office suite. This includes word, excel, PowerPoint, access programs. It is put out by Oracle 7 all the schools have gone to it to save buying 1 license per 1 machine for Microsoft Office.

2. This way all members can open the documents that we create in Microsoft office (Word, excel, etc) & edit them & send them back.

  • Mary suggested that the documents be put up in rtf format – any word processor should be able to open that.

Motion to adjourn: Bernice Langley moved we adjourn, Deborah Schenher seconded
Next Meeting October 4th.
